Put the song you've already finished onto an official TapTunes™ collectible music card, produced by TapTunes™ for TrueFans CONNECT™ — 16 tracks, one theme, your name in the liner notes — that fans can hold, tap to listen, and collect. We produce it, we promote it, and you get 25 cards to sell at $20 each to earn your whole investment straight back. Vol. 1 is Many Roads Traveled — and track one is a song I wrote myself.
$500 total · $50 to submit for review, $450 only if your track is accepted · Includes The Baseline Audit ($500 value) with a 90-minute one-to-one call, kept as credit if you join the 5 Keys · 8 slots a month
Tracks per compilation. One theme, sequenced like a real record.
Cards you receive and sell. Keep 100% — that's your $500 back.
Slots released per month, across all themes. When they're gone, you wait for next month's.
Most "opportunities" for independent artists ask you to pay and hope. This one is built so the money comes back. Every one of the 16 track owners receives 25 physical cards. Sell them at $20 — at your gigs, to your list, to your family — and you've earned back the full $500. Everything after that is upside.
And the cards are only one of three things you receive. You also get the compilation itself — marketed and promoted by us — and a full strategy package for your career that on its own sells for the same price as this whole offer.
The TapTunes™ card is a format created by TapTunes™: a physical, credit-card-sized collectible card that carries a full release inside it. Tap it with a phone or scan the code and the music plays. No app, no download link in an email, no login. TrueFans CONNECT™ has partnered with TapTunes™, who produce every card in this series. It belongs to a new category the industry calls smart media: physical objects with digital content built in. Tap · Listen · Collect.
Vinyl came back because people want to own something. Streaming stayed because people want convenience. Smart media is the category that does both: a physical product you can hold and give, carrying digital content that never scratches, never runs out, and can be updated after it's sold. Smart vinyl, tap-to-play posters, NFC merch and collectible cards all sit in it. TapTunes™ built the music-card format for that category, and TrueFans CONNECT™ partnered with them to bring it to independent artists: TapTunes™ produces the cards, TrueFans CONNECT™ curates the compilations and the artists on them. It's the most affordable, most giftable and easiest-to-sell format in the category — which is why it works.
From you at a gig, from your link, or as a gift from someone who knows they'd like the theme. $20.
Hold a phone to the card (NFC) or scan the QR code. TapTunes™ works on iPhone and Android. Nothing to install.
All 16 tracks stream instantly in the TapTunes™ player, with artwork, liner notes, exclusives and a page for every artist — bio, photo, links, where to hear more.
The card goes in the fan's TrueFans CONNECT™ collection. Download the tracks in high quality, save the player to the home screen, and re-tap the card any time. New exclusives can be added after release.
A TapTunes™ card is the object of vinyl, the convenience of streaming and the direct fan relationship of neither. That's what TrueFans CONNECT™ is for: music lives here.
You've got a finished track. Mixed, mastered, or close enough. It's sitting in a folder, or it went up on streaming, got 400 plays, and quietly disappeared. And part of you has thought: "I should do something proper with that one."
Here's what you don't need in order to do something proper with it:
We'll take that track and turn it into something real. Something with your name on it that you can hold in your hand, sell, and build on.
Your track sits on a professionally sequenced, mastered-for-release 16-track compilation with proper artwork and liner notes — an official TrueFans CONNECT™ collectible on TapTunes™. Physical card and digital, both.
You keep every dollar from the cards you sell. Twenty-five sales and you've cleared the investment. Need more? Reorder at wholesale.
A scored diagnostic of your craft, audience, live and monetisation — plus a ranked fix-first list and a written 12-month plan. Then 90 minutes one-to-one with Paul to go through it.
Mailing list, radio and press contacts built over 40 years, social channels, and a coordinated launch where all 16 artists push at once. Sixteen audiences instead of one.
Pick the theme your song belongs on and send us the track. A $50 slot-holding fee reserves your place in the queue while we listen. Not every track is accepted — that's what makes the card worth $20.
If your track is accepted you pay the $450 balance — in one payment, or two of $275 — and send your final master, photo, bio and links. If it isn't, we refund $30, keep $20 as the review fee, and send you the track review notes. Then we level-match, sequence and assemble the record.
The compilation goes out through our mailing list, radio and press contacts and social channels, alongside a coordinated launch where all 16 artists post, play and sell on the same day.
A theme is what a listener buys. Nobody buys "a compilation of unsigned artists" — they buy the right 16 songs for a mood, a moment, or a person. So every theme is a subject, not a genre: pick by what your song is about, not what it sounds like, and it's in the right place. Each volume holds exactly 16 tracks and closes when it fills.
Songs from the road and the life of a touring musician: the van, the motel, the last set to eleven people, the drive home. Track 01 is already taken — "I Know Your Name", written by Paul. Fifteen slots remain. The buyer: anyone who's ever loved someone who lives on the road.
Launching soonLove songs, in every direction: the first night, the last text, the twenty-year marriage. Soul, pop, indie, country, R&B, jazz, singer-songwriter — the subject is the theme, not the sound. The buyer: anyone with an anniversary, a Valentine's, or a wedding to find a gift for.
Launching soonHigh-energy songs that belong on a stage: rock, punk, hip-hop, dance, funk, ska, metal, drum & bass. If it makes people jump, shout, or sing the chorus back, it's in. The buyer: gig-goers and the merch table between sets.
Opens Jan 2027Songs about the town, the block, the family, the culture that shaped you. Country, hip-hop, folk, reggae, Latin, Celtic, gospel, soul — every tradition has this song. The buyer: anyone homesick, and the card that gets sent to a parent.
Opens Jan 2027Recovery, reinvention, the year after the worst year. Songs that start low and end standing. Gospel, pop, rock, hip-hop, singer-songwriter, electronic — hope has no house style. The buyer: someone going through it, and the friend who wants to hand them something that says so.
Opens Mar 2027A 40-question scored diagnostic across the four things that decide whether a music career pays: craft, audience, live performance and monetisation. About 45 minutes to complete.
Sold on its own for $500. Here it comes with the track slot, so the strategy costs you nothing — and, as with any Baseline Audit, the $500 is kept as credit if you join the 5 Keys within thirty days. See where it leads ↓
After your audit is scored, a full 90 minutes with Paul, recorded so you can go back to it — 40 years across labels, management, BBC and US radio, and touring — to go through your results, your ranked priorities and how to use the compilation as the first move in your plan.
Not a sales call. A working session about your career.
Your Baseline Audit is the same audit the 5 Keys program opens with. So if what it finds makes you want to keep going, the $500 is not spent — join any paid tier within thirty days of your session and the whole of it becomes credit on your account, used month by month until it runs out.
All five Keys, Ask Paul as often as you like, the eighteen free calculators saved and tracked, and the weekly group call. No one-to-one calls.
Your credit covers five months.
The method run for you a stage at a time, Foundation at $300 up to Sustain at $1,500, moving up when your numbers say so. Coaches join as the ladder fills; until they do, I take those calls myself.
Your credit covers the first month of Foundation, and $200 of the second.
Direct access to me: a one-to-one call every month, an hour every week with your cohort of twenty, and your audit re-scored every quarter. When the twenty places are gone, they are gone.
Your credit covers the whole first month.
You do not have to join anything. The report, the fix list, the plan and the recording are yours either way, and the plan is built to be run without me. Not sure which fits? The call after your audit is the place to ask.
Only 8 track slots are released each month, so every artist gets the full audit and 90-minute call.
8 slots per month. Each compilation holds 16 tracks and closes when it fills or on November 30, 2026 for Vol. 1 — whichever comes first.
And you're ready to stop saying: "I'll do something proper with that track one day."
Every track is reviewed before it's accepted. That's not a hurdle — it's the reason a listener will pay $20 for the card.
A label isn't a building. It's a plan.
So many artists spend their careers waiting for permission. Waiting until the album's finished. Until there's a manager. Until someone with a badge says the track is ready. Until the numbers are big enough to deserve a physical release.
But your track doesn't become valuable when someone finally signs it. It becomes valuable when a listener can hold it, pay for it, and pass it on. Sixteen artists, one theme, one card — that's a release strategy, a distribution network and a marketing team, split sixteen ways.
Talent gets you heard. Strategy gets you paid. Pick the track. Put your name on it. Sell the first 25.
Once you claim your slot, you'll submit your final master, artwork or photo, bio and links by this date. After the sequencing lock, tracks are final — no swaps or re-masters — so the compilation goes to print on schedule and launches together.
One track slot on a 16-track themed compilation, released as an official TapTunes™ collectible card from TrueFans CONNECT™, and digitally. We handle release mastering, sequencing, artwork, liner notes, card design and production, the download/stream page, your artist page, and a coordinated launch campaign. You receive 25 cards to sell, The Baseline Audit, and a 90-minute one-to-one call with Paul. You contribute your finished track, a photo, a bio and your links.
Because every slot comes with The Baseline Audit and a 90-minute one-to-one call with Paul, and both are done personally, not by a team. Eight a month is what can be done properly. When a month's eight are gone, the next eight open on the 1st, and you can reserve one in advance.
Step one: submit your track for review with a $50 slot-holding fee, which reserves your place in this month's eight while we listen. Step two: if your track is accepted, you pay the $450 balance — as one payment or two payments of $275 — and your slot is confirmed. Every submission gets a listen and a decision; you're never charged the balance for a track we haven't accepted.
You're refunded $30 of the $50 and we send you the track review notes. The $20 we keep is the review fee — someone with forty years in the business listened properly to your track, made a decision, and wrote down why. You keep the track and you're welcome to submit a different one, or the same one to a better-fitting theme.
Yes. Once your track is accepted, the $450 balance can be paid in one payment or two payments of $275. Your slot is confirmed on the first payment either way.
Every track owner receives 25 physical cards, shipped to you. Sell them for $20 each — at gigs, online, to your list — and you keep 100% of the money. Twenty-five sales returns your full $500. Want more? Additional cards are available at wholesale.
You do. You grant a non-exclusive licence for your track to appear on this compilation, in physical and digital form. You are free to release, stream, sync and sell the same track anywhere else, before, during and after.
Your primary return is the 25 cards, which you sell direct and keep 100% of. Terms for any compilation-wide streaming or download income are set out in the participation agreement you receive at checkout.
Yes. Track 01 of Vol. 1, Many Roads Traveled, is "I Know Your Name", a song Paul wrote about life on the road. He's not asking you to do anything with your track that he isn't doing with his own — and he's selling his 25 cards the same way you will.
Tell us. New themes are announced as volumes fill, and the best pitch for a sixth compilation may well be yours. If we can't place your track on a theme, we won't take your money for it.
TapTunes™ does. The TapTunes™ card is their format — the card, the NFC chip, the QR code and the player behind it. TrueFans CONNECT™ has partnered with TapTunes™ to bring the format to independent artists: TapTunes™ produces every card in the series, and TrueFans CONNECT™ curates the compilations, reviews the tracks and runs the launch. Every card carries both marks.
A 40-question scored diagnostic across craft, audience, live performance and monetisation, taking about 45 minutes. You receive a scored report, a ranked list of what to fix first, and a written 12-month plan you can run yourself. It’s sold on its own for $500 on the audit page, is included in full with your track slot, and is kept as credit if you join the 5 Keys.
Yes. It is the same Baseline Audit the program opens with, and the same rule applies: join any paid tier within thirty days of your session and the whole $500 becomes credit on your account, used month by month until it runs out — five months of the Course at $100, the first month and $200 of the second on Foundation at $300, or the whole first month of the 5 Keys with Paul at $500. If you do not join, you keep everything the audit gave you. See the program.
Your final master, photo, bio and links are due by November 30, 2026 for Vol. 1. After the sequencing lock, tracks cannot be swapped or re-mastered, even if you submitted early.
Each volume goes to print when 16 tracks are confirmed. If a volume hasn't filled by its deadline, you can move to the next open theme or receive a full refund.
Sixteen slots per theme. Eight released each month. Twenty-five official TapTunes™ cards each, and a 90-minute plan for what comes after.

I spent 40 years on the label side watching artists sign deals that gutted them — now I help artists build the leverage to never need that deal.
From pirate radio stations in the UK to BBC broadcasting, from major record labels to indie label ownership, from artist management to tour management and event production — I've seen the music industry from every angle. My radio career spans KQMT Denver and nationally syndicated Rock Hall of Fame programming.
Sixteen is the same position in card form: the music business as usual does not work, and you don't need a major label to build a thriving career. You need to own your music, build direct relationships with the people who pay for it, and run a plan.
